As is, IPC has little to no territory, their eight foot wide hallway and maybe thirty meters of hallway length (wishful thinking) is being abused. Previously reported on, Greenpeace has already invaded their less than 800 square foot area multiple times.
If IPC cannot protect 800 square feet, can they even protect their journalistic rights? This may be put to the test as other delegates disrupt the hard-at-work journalists by expressing their desire for a lack of journalistic rights as they stomp through IPC territory unharmed by IPC’s lack of defence mechanisms.
As it has always been, IPC is homeless; however, they have made the little hallway past Greenpeace their home. Greenpeace claims they can do whatever because it is a “public hallway”. However, unlucky for GP, the homeless (IPC) have a right to shelter and public space. Municipalities must ensure the homeless get a safe and dignified shelter, and the hallway on the side of GP is IPC’s safe and dignified shelter.
Another topic that IPC needs to discuss and address is their lack of defense. IPC delegates have a right to feel safe in their own home. Currently, their only defence system is Emily and Emmly. Will there be any defence upgrades? Or will they wait until Greenpeace takes over?
