In the last committee session of the CAHSMUN conference, the Greenpeace committee faces a major problem that could “effect everything they have ever worked for” in this past weekend. Hence their name, GP focuses on challenges regarding the direst of global environmental issues, and currently discuss possible solutions to a new provocation.
BBC interviewed a local GP delegate who described the current events of the committee.
At the moment, several major delegations and companies such as Shell Energy Transfer, the ex-treasurer and the ex deputy chair assembled into “something called Greenwar.”
It is unconfirmed whether or not Greenwar is an official bloc or just an assembly of delegates, however they are currently going against the rest of the Greenpeace committee, or in other words, starting “World War III.”
Moreover, Greenwar is throwing allegations against Russia, the US, and the European Union, meanwhile the committee is still attempting to discuss how to move forward as ships release mounds of trash into the ocean.
Additionally, delegates have been taken hostage in the GP and it is unknown whether or not they have been returned yet, or if the committee is attempting to get them back.
As for GP’s current standing, other news agencies like Fox News of IPC have reported that the GP was “making zero progress in changing the world,” however this cannot be verified as BBC was not present at the time. Nevertheless, it is unlikely that the Greenpeace committee will reach a final conclusion and solution to these various complications by the end of the CAHSMUN conference.
UPDATE:
GP has (allegedly) officially halted the terrorism said to be started by the committee themselves. However they have come up with a solution, which will be marked in history.
