Saudi Arabia and Somalia – Rising Tensions

In the League of Arab States, formed in 1945 after the 1944 Alexandria Protocol, tensions were rising between countries during the debate.

While those two countries continue back and forth at each other, Oman was attempting to make allies with any country willing.

Saudi Arabia and Somalia’s tension is hard to ignore as their ties have only been strengthened over the past years through security operations and backing each other through different disputes.

Algeria had a heavy and noticable focus on enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technologies. EOR was developed to increase oil recovery from pre-existing oil reservoirs. EOR can extend oil field life, proving as an economical technology. However, EOR can have environmental impacts like greenhouse gasses from the thermal recovery.

The United Arab Emirates were focused on talking about the humanitarian aid they supply and that they were not wanting to move away from oil currently.

With the tension rising, we can expect some other implications like oil prices, trade disruption, and regional stability issues.
