Privacy Concerns and Copyright Issues with Talks of Trademarks and Elon Musk’s Loyalty

(CNN) – In the developing realm of AI, members discussed user privacy concerns. After speaking with Greg Brockman, he explained the situation of the committee.

Sam Altman and Greg Brockman discussed how there should be watermarks and trademarks on works that are produced by different artists and investors so that they are able to tell the difference between the work done by real people and AI. Brockman discussed with CNN that there should not only be a trademark that is able to tell the difference between the two, but Brockman and Altman also discussed that there should be a global summit where all the nations gather and come to a mutual agreement on the details of what is right and what is wrong regarding privacy issues.

There have been a few lawsuits against OpenAI regarding copyright information and data that has been leaked. Brockman said that these issues concern them, especially since they could be an advantage for their opponents.

There were also some arguments regarding the importance of and prioritization given to revenue by board members over the privacy of users.

Brockman said they are trying to do both simultaneously so users do not feel exploited. There was a lot of back and forth between members with the discussion becoming heated at times.

Brockman says that the cause for some of these heated disputes is Elon Musk. There were some disagreements between Elon Musk and Greg Brockman, as Musk’s intentions were questioned. Musk holds a seat in OpenAI since he is developing his own AI, but some board members feel that he is only there to destroy the committee rather than to help them on the board.
