On trial today is Ho Chi Minh who is accused of being a traitor to Vietnam.
In the words of the prosecutors, he is “a coward and is guilty of war crimes.” The committee members seem split on whether or not he is guilty. Both sides brought passion and substantial arguments to the table; in the end it came down to how the president had treated his comrades.
Mr Minh stands accused of being a war criminal. The prosecution stated that he offered to join the Americans and that such a statement made him an anti-communist. They proceeded to state that Ho Chi Minh burnt down an entire village and killed his own people. The defense proceeded to explain that he had been a double agent the entire time, and that all though he was exchanging information with the Americans, it was false information. They urged the delegates to consider that Ho Chi Minh was the one who brought independence to North Vietnam. Later, they stated that the village he stands accused of burning down was abandoned and was destroyed only to garnish support for the war against the Americans.
At approximately 3:40PM (PST) Ho Chi Minh was found guilty and sentenced to torture and death by guillotine. Below is a video containing his final words…
