Vietnam War (Xinhua News Agency)—The thunderous knocks of agreement can be heard from both parties as America and North Vietnam discreetly lay the groundwork of war—all eyes pointing to the currently vulnerable South Vietnam. With the recent assassination of South Vietnam’s President committed in cold blood by the United States as they plot to acquire South Vietnam and replace their leader with an American spy, North Vietnam prepares for war, in hopes of showing South Vietnam the brilliance of Communism.
Stemming from the Cold War, a period of geological tension, the United States of America is at arms against North Vietnam, all in a feud on South Vietnams economic system. With the recent end of the Korean War, United States has lost significant power in arms therefore leaving United States divided—some directors preaching peace while others instigating war. Directors expostulating war refuse to send soldiers to aid South Vietnam, claiming that it is “unnecessary blood on a backwater country”. According to Michael Forrestal, a director working under the United States, this conflict originates from the possibility of further influence: “We are worried this conversion may create a dominos effect, causing neighboring countries to follow in North Vietnam’s economic decisions”. To eliminate all possibility of this domino effect, the majority of America’s board believes that war must happen, thus, calling for the preparation of soldiers to be sent to South Vietnam. Due to these concerns, America’s debate seems to heavily circle around the number of soldiers and funds they are willing to spend on South Vietnam.
In contrast, North Vietnam seems to display unwavering motivation. Even while fully aware of America’s military strength, the leader of North Vietnam proposes spy networks, and a focus on industrialization, infrastructure, agriculture, and propaganda. North Vietnam is currently unanimous on waging war against American soldiers in South Vietnam, hoping for a quick and unexpected attack while America remains unorganized. When asked about North Vietnam’s viewpoint on America’s excessive military strength, the leader of North Vietnam stated: “No, we are not afraid of the American retaliation”. As the discussion progresses towards a solution, Xinhua hopes to see North Vietnam take action towards their cause.
