Rod Reiss, caught red handed prowling around the much younger Hitch, argues that what he has is “true love” and “a classic enemies to lovers arc.”
In the midst of crisis and pandemonium, with mass unrest as a result in public distrust of the monarchy, one pivotal turn of events shines brighter than the rest. Rod Reiss, the True King of the Walls, has allegedly been seen stalking around Hitch Dreyse, a military private who happens to be much much younger than him. While Hitch may be 19, questions still circle around about the moral implications of his actions. What makes this whole situation even worse is Reiss’s seeming flip-flop between what actually happened. He initially claimed that everything was legally okay and that he had found his one true love, yet when questioned later about his allegations, Reiss stated “Which ones? Oh, I deny these allegations. I have had no relations with Hitch.”, demonstrating exactly how guilty he is. In defense of the king, Kenny Ackerman argues that no laws were broken, saying “Who makes the laws anyways?” as police sirens sound in the distance.
This whole pedophile situation comes as no surprise given the history of royals, managing to stand above the law and seeming to be morally indifferent to these sort of allegations. Throughout history, kings and queens have always presented themselves as morally righteous and correct, but time and time again they prove how little their words actually mean. Monarchies are fundamentally corrupt institutions that allow ill suited individuals to govern the people, strip them of their freedom, and leave them to die as over worked peasants. Freedom is the most fundamental value in life, and having unelected rulers dictate the lives of the people is a horrendous thing.
The only individual who seems to have a proper head on his shoulders is Fletch Fletcher, confronting the king in front of his own assembly, loudly proclaiming “This man is here to meet a 13 year old” and further more driving the topic of committee towards overthrowing the monarchy that has created so much civil unrest and panic. Replacing the monarchy and instilling proper Christian values in the people is the only way to fix this seemingly crumbling society, as it is clear that monarchs have no idea how to act morally and lead as an example for their people. Delegates have since argued in support of rebuilding the government of the Walls, seeing the obvious flaws in the monarchy, especially in one led by such a heinous individual like Rod Reiss.
In a final dramatic turn of events, Rod Reiss wound up dying of injuries sustained from an assassination attempt, leaving the Walls without a king, and hopefully allowing society to rebuild for the better with leaders that support and promote freedom rather than the tyrannical, corrupt pedophiles that ran the Walls into the ground. More news to come once updates have officially been made.
